do you take commissions?
Private commissions are currently closed. Client commissions are also most of the time closed and currently I’m being very selective with what work I take outside of my own projects, but from time to time I do take client work. If you feel like your project would be a good fit for me please contact me via the contact form.
can i have your artwork tattooed?
Absolutely! As long as it’s not a commissioned illustration. Just be sure that both you and the tattoo artist give credit (for example when sharing the tattoo in social media credit and tag me). I don’t charge for use, but you can support my work by purchasing something from my shop or making a small donation through my virtual tip jar, it really helps a lot ♡ I’m currently not taking tattoo commissions.
what software/materials do you use?
I use a Wacom Intuos Pro drawing tablet with Photoshop (and sometimes also Paint Tool SAI). I mainly use the standard brushes that come with the drawing programs.
I currently am using mainly Schmincke Horadam, Daniel Smith Extra Fine, Winsor & Newton Professional and Holbein Artists watercolors , Schmincke being my favorite as they’re very vibrant and high quality paints. I prefer to use watercolor tubes and arrange the colors to my Meeden watercolor palette. I also like to use Finetec Coliro Pearlcolors watercolor paints for shimmery details.
I use Winsor & Newton Designers, Holbein Artists, Daler Rowney Designers and Royal Talens Art Creation gouache, sometimes also experimenting with Holbein Acryla acrylic gouache. I use Mijello palettes for gouache.
I like to use acrylic inks as they have superior water resistance. My favorite inks are Liquitex Professional acrylic inks and Daler Rowney FW acrylic inks.
I like to use colored pencils for sketching, Prismacolor Col-Erase being my favorite as they’re erasable. For linework, if I’m not using ink, I like to use Faber Castell PITT Artists Pens and Pilot Pocket Brush Pen (soft). Sometimes I also use Pentel Pocket Brush Pen, but I prefer the Pilot pen as in my opinion it’s easier to control. For white details I use white Uni Posca marker (extra fine) as it’s beautifully opaque and fluid. Sometimes for sketching I also like to use Copic Ciao markers.
I like to use synthetic brushes, my favorites being Jackson’s Artica White Toray, Winsor & Newton Cotman and Leonhardy 374 Super Star brushes bought from a local art store.
Paper & Sketchbooks
I almost always use 300 g/m2 100% cotton hot pressed paper for my final watercolor and gouache paintings. My favorite papers are Arches Aquarelle and Fabriano Artistico. My favorite sketchbook is the Mossery Mixed Media sketchbook.
